Hold this date!  OCUFA workshop on workplace violence and harassment, May 14th

 

 

OCUFA’s May 14 workshop will help faculty associations ensure their administrations’ implementation of Ontario’s new workplace violence and harassment legislation meets the security needs of professors and academic librarians.

 

The day-long workshop will feature a morning presentation from OCUFA’s law firm, Sacks, Goldblatt & Mitchell on the legislation, which amends the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act.

 

The afternoon session will feature discussion about workplace violence and harassment specific to professors and academic librarians -- and focus on how faculty associations can work with administrations to prevent incidents and how to deal with them should they occur.

 

The workshop will be of interest to:

  • Faculty association negotiators
  • Health and safety representatives
  • Grievance committee members
  • Status of Women Committee members
